Ajax Alarm Systems That Protect Your Property and Put You in Control

Digisky is an authorised installer of Ajax alarm systems in Pretoria and across Gauteng. Ajax is an award-winning wireless security range trusted by millions of users in more than 130 countries. Sensors talk to the hub over encrypted long-range radio, alarms reach your phone in seconds with a photo of what triggered them, and a built-in backup battery keeps the whole system armed through load shedding and power outages.

Why Choose an Ajax Alarm System

Fully Wireless

No cables to chase into walls or trench across a yard. Most sites are installed in a day, and the system can be extended or moved later without rewiring.

Long-Range Radio

Ajax's Jeweller radio reaches up to 2 km in open line of sight, so outbuildings, gates and sheds can sit on the same system as the main building.

Always-On Power

Detectors run for up to 7 years on their own batteries, and the hub keeps working for up to 16 hours on its backup battery, switching between Ethernet and two SIM cards. Power cuts and fibre outages won't take it offline.

Photo-Verified Alarms

MotionCam detectors take a burst of photos the moment they trigger. You see whether it's an intruder or a false alarm before anyone is sent out.

Smart Automation

Link door locks, lights, gates and other devices to the alarm. Lock up and switch the lights off when you arm, or light up the property the moment an alarm goes off.

Tamper and Jamming Alerts

Removing a device from its mount, cutting its connection or jamming the radio frequency raises an alert, so you know straight away if anyone tries to disable the system.

Security Without the Wiring Headaches

A wired alarm has a weak spot that intruders know about: the cable. Cut it and the sensor goes quiet. Ajax alarm systems work differently. Every detector communicates wirelessly with the hub using Jeweller, a two-way radio protocol with encrypted signals and regular check-ins, so the hub always knows each device is present and working.

That also makes installation clean and quick. We mount the devices, pair them to the hub and set up the app. There's no chasing walls, no ceiling crawling and no trenching across open ground. When your needs change, you can add a new detector, siren or keypad in minutes, and a range extender pushes coverage further across large properties.

Know Exactly What Triggered the Alarm

MotionCam detectors add a picture to every alarm. When a MotionCam picks up movement, it captures a series of photos and sends them straight to your phone, usually within about 9 seconds of the alarm.

A photo turns a guess into a decision. A stray dog in the yard needs no call-out. Someone climbing through a window needs an immediate response. Photo verification helps you tell the two apart before anyone gets in a car, and the detectors can be set to ignore pets, so a family dog or farm cat doesn't set off false alarms.

Every alarm, arming event and system warning arrives as a push notification, an SMS or a phone call, whichever you prefer, and the app keeps the full event history. The system can also be linked to 24/7 monitoring and your armed response company, so a confirmed break-in gets a response straight away, day or night.

Stays Armed When the Power and Fibre Go Down

In South Africa, an alarm that stops working during an outage isn't much of an alarm. The Ajax Hub 2 has a built-in backup battery that keeps it running for up to 16 hours after the mains power drops, and each detector already runs on its own long-life battery, so the whole system stays armed through load shedding.

Communication is protected the same way. The hub connects over Ethernet and two SIM cards on different mobile networks, and it switches between them automatically if one fails. The Hub 2 Plus adds Wi-Fi as a fourth channel. If someone tries to jam the radio signal or cut the connection, the hub treats that as a threat and raises an alert.

Your Whole Property, Controlled From Your Phone

The Ajax app puts the whole system in your pocket. Arm or disarm from anywhere in the world, arm a single zone such as the workshop or the perimeter while people are still working inside, and check the status of every device at a glance. Each family member or staff member gets their own access, with only the permissions they need, so you always know who armed or disarmed the system and when.

An Ajax system can also do more than raise an alarm. Relays and smart switches let the system and the app control electric gates, door locks, lights and other equipment, so access to storerooms, server rooms and other sensitive areas can be part of the same routine. For example, the outside lights can switch on automatically when the alarm triggers at night.

Where Ajax Alarm Systems Work Best

Because nothing needs to be wired, Ajax suits properties where running cables is difficult, expensive or impossible:

  • Homes and estates: indoor motion, door and window protection, plus outdoor detectors for gardens and boundaries.
  • Farms and smallholdings: workshops, stores, pump houses and outbuildings spread across a property, all on one system.
  • Offices and business premises: after-hours protection, with a full log showing which staff member armed or disarmed the system and at what time.
  • Warehouses, fleet yards and depots: long radio range covers large buildings and open yards, and outdoor detectors watch parked vehicles and equipment after hours.
  • Fuel stores and diesel tanks: an alarm on the tank room or bowser store adds a physical-security layer to bulk fuel management.
  • Site containers and temporary premises: the system can be taken down and reinstalled at the next site.
The same system can also include smoke, heat and water-leak detectors, so one app covers fire and flooding as well as break-ins.
