Depot monitoring tells you what went into the tank before departure. It tells you nothing about what happens to that fuel once the vehicle is on the road. For long-haul and logistics fleets, the biggest fuel losses often occur in transit, and they are invisible without live monitoring on the vehicle itself.

A bulk fuel tank holds tens of thousands of rands of diesel at any given moment. Most businesses that store fuel in volume know it is valuable. Far fewer have a system that tells them immediately when that value starts to disappear.
